Monumental tour
Gibraltar
With only 7 square kilometers, Gibraltar is considered to be one of the few exiisting colonies in the world. Throughout history it has been deemed of high strategic importance since it is the border between Europe and Africa, and between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. We propose a journey to better understand the uniqueness of this territory.
PUNTA DE EUROPA
Through our visit to the Rock, we will approach its history and current situation. Our first stop will be at Punta de Europa, where we can have breathtaking views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the African coast.
CUEVA DE SAN MIGUEL
Very near there is the spectacular Cueva de San Miguel, which in World War II became a hospital, and today it is an auditorium where concerts and operas are held. In the Natural Park, we will see one of the great attractions of the Rock, namely, the only colony of monkeys in Europe that live in freedom. We'll feed and play with these cute animals.
GREAT SIEGE TUNNELS
Before lunch, we will go into one of the most interesting and curious places, the Great Siege Tunnels, which were dug by the army to defend the territory. Inside we can see canyons, holes in walls and characters who staged battles.
CITY CENTER
In the city center we will stroll down Main Street and Casemates Square full of shops where you can buy your gifts at a lower price than in Spain, thanks to the low taxes paid in the British colony.
A tour where you will discover all the secrets
of the culture of Gibraltar.
