Monumental tour
Cordoba
Few cities in the world can boast of having been Capital of a Roman Province, Capital of the Western Caliphate, and a settlement of a Jewish community that contributed a great intellectual knowledge, a city where Jewish, Muslim and Christian cultures have lived together.
ALCAZAR AND MOSQUE OF CORDOBA
We will begin the tour with our official guide in the Alcazar, residence and fortress of the Christian Kings, followed by a visit to the Mosque of Cordoba, one of the most important monuments in Spain. We will go inside to discover its majestic interior, which originally was built as a mosque, but after the conquest of Cordoba by the Christian Kings it became a Cathedral. You will be amazed at its more than 850 columns of marble and granite and 365 white and red arches, which are one of the most beautiful examples of Muslim art.
OLD CENTER
The historical old center shows how important this city was, where you can find the Jewish quarter, the Synagogue, as well as a network of streets full of colorful flowers and Andalusian patios that have recently been declared intangible cultural heritage.
GASTRONOMIC
We can round up the visit by enjoying the best local cuisine in the bars and restaurants of the city, which will add to our knowledge of its culture.
